"Welcome to Our World: A Musical for Christmas" : Free Community Concert

"Welcome to Our World: A Musical for Christmas," will be presented by the choirs of Calvary United Methodist Church and Ford Memorial Church on Saturday, December 16 at 4 pm in Calvary's Tiffany sanctuary. Brian Burns, organist and music director, conducts Calvary's Renewal Choir. Janice Bernot directs the Chancel Choir of Ford Memorial, where the combined choirs will present the music on Sunday, December 17 at 4 pm.

The concerts are open to all ages at no charge.

Donations will be accepted at Calvary for the church's music program and organ restoration. Calvary Church is located at 971 Beech Ave. at Allegheny, on the Northside, just a few blocks from Heinz Field. Ford Memorial is located at 1024 Fourth Ave., Ford City, PA., 16226.

Telling the Christmas story through readings and songs, the combined choirs will deliver the message of hope and love that define the Christmas season. The musical includes a combination of traditional Christmas carols such as "Angels We Have Heard on High" alongside modern Christian worship songs and praise tunes. Audience members will be invited to join in the celebration in singing at the program's close. Following the performance, complimentary refreshments will be served.

Pensacola's 2006 Downtown Winterfest

Downtown Pensacola's annual holiday celebration, 2006 Downtown Winterfest, begins on Friday, Nov. 24th and runs through Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006. It includes both performance and holiday light trolley tours, Breakfast with Santa, miniature train rides and opportunities for photos with some of your favorite holiday characters.

Winterfest is a month-long production which centers on holiday trolley tours throughout Downtown Pensacola and the Seville Historic Disrict and makes 20 scheduled stops along the two-and-a-half mile route. Other attractions include the Holiday Light Tours on Dec. 18-23. This year's Breakfast with Santa will take place on Saturday, Dec. 2nd at 8 am.
