Beehive, The 60's Musical

BEEHIVE, THE 60'S MUSICAL

Take a trip back to the 60's with Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre's production of Beehive, The 60’s Musical. This fun-filled, non-stop, nostalgic musical tribute celebrates the girl groups and soloists who made America rock. Performances begin on August 2 and continue through September 22, 2007.

Featuring over 40 of the greatest hits of the decade, Beehive will have you dancing in the aisles to tunes from Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, The Chiffons, Lesley Gore, Connie Francis, Petula Clark, Janis Joplin and many more! Gravity-defying wigs by Jason Hayes (hair stylist for Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) and groovy costumes by John White (National Costume Supervisor for Prather Family of Theatres) will take you on a journey through the look and feel of the times. However, it’s all about the music as Teanna Berry, Alicia Campbell, Patrice Covington, Kate Feerick, Elizabeth Gross, Emily Cara Portune, Courtney Washington and Jillian Nyhan Zygo and the band perform such classic songs as: It’s My Party, Me and Bobby McGee, Respect, Where the Boys Are, Proud Mary and Come See About Me.

Beehive, The 60’s Musical is the premiere production of the Prather Entertainment Group (PEG), a new national touring company, and comes to the Broadway Palm directly from performances in York, PA and Boston. After its run at the Broadway Palm, the show will play additional Arizona dates at the Mesa Arts Center and the Del E. Another Sun Valley fishing trip!

Time for another fishing trip to Sun Valley Idaho - one of my favorite places to go flyfishing. If I don't go at least twice a summer I go through withdrawals. Sun Valley is such a great place to go relax in the summer, especially if you like to relax in the great outdoors. We'll be heading to The Big Wood first, then to The Copper Basin. I'm sure we'll also do some hiking while we're there, and my daughter always likes to go horseback riding in Sun Valley. I can't wait to get out of town, away from the hustle and bustle of work and life and just relax in my hammock chair on the riverbank!

Phoenix in August, am I crazy?

I'm going to be in the Phoenix Arizona area in August, I know it's going to be hotter then you know where - so I'm looking for things to do indoors, like and I came across the Heard Museum, which looks absolutely amazing. I'd like to see the Phoenix Art Museum as well. I'm considering braving the heat and going to the Phoenix Zoo, just because it's been forever since I've been to a zoo. Of course, I'll be staying at the Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa, and it looks like I may not ever have to leave the premises, they offer so much to do right there.
